Description

Local Council Qadima (meaning forward) is situated in the Sharon region, 10 km southeast of Netanya, north of Tel-Mond, south of Pardesiya and east of Even Yehuda. It was founded in 1932 and has 7,000 inh. Its name is based on a story that when these lands were purchased by Joshua Khenkin the land redeemer, he entered the hut of the settlers' committee and declared, "We moved one step forward".

I spotted the unofficial flag, green with a black emblem, on the city hall. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), YP 1808, 3 March 1972. Sources: author's own observation, 6 September 2001; this webpage.
