Description

On the flag is an anemone. Karmiel was established in 1964 on the side of the road between Acre and Zefat. It situated in Biqa'at (i.e. valley) Beit ha-Kerem, which separates the upper and lower Galilee Mountains. Pop. 40,000.

The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), YP 1734, 1st July 1971 (as a Local Council at that time).
