Csákánydoroszló is a village in Vas County in Hungary near
to Town of Körmend (10 km west) on the left bank of the Rába
River. The settlement has got 1.711 inhabitants (1990 census)
neraly all of them are Hungarian. Neighbouring settlements are:
Gasztony, Hegyhátszentmárton, Ivánc, Felsőmarác, Halogy,
Magyarnádalja, Kemestaródfa villages and Körmend town in
Hungary, and Heiligenbrunn community in Austria.
The settlement is the union (1939) of Nagycsákány and
Rábadoroszló villages. In 1910 Nagycsákány and Rábadoroszló
were villages in the Körmend district of Vas County of the
Kingdom of Hungary. Number of its inhabitants in 1910:
Nagycsákány: 1.780 (95,6% Hungarian, 4,1% German by mother
tongue, 96,9% Roman Catholic, 2% Jew, 0,7% Lutheran by religion),
Rábadoroszló: 396 (95,2% Hungarian, 4,0% German by mother
tongue, 99,0% Roman Catholic by religion). The village has got
beautiful castle (you can see in the CoA). Image based upon a
