The village has got 3.887 inhabitants (1990 census), nearly all of them are Hungarians. Neighbouring settlements are: Vác and Göd towns, Pócsmegyer and Sződ villages. The settlement was founded in 1950 from the territory of Sződ village. The settlement is a summer resort.
Symbols of the CoA: I think the blue stripe relates to the Danube. Maybe the rosette shield relates to the Arpad Dinasty.
Date of adoptation: 26 June 2000 by the No.7/2000 Resolution of the Community of Sződliget Village.
The imagess of the flags are not exectly correct since the 'Réde-style' inscription 'SZŐDLIGET' under the shield.is missing.
