Overview

Réde is a village in Komárom-Esztergom County in Hungary near to Town of Kisbér (15 km southwest) The village has got 1.554 inhabitants (1990 census), nearly all of them are Hungarians. Neighbouring settlements are: Bakonybánk, Sikátor, Veszprémvarsány, Bakonyszentkirály, Csatka, Ácsteszér and Bakonyszombathely villages. In 1910 Réde was a village in the Zirc district of Veszprém County. Number of inhabitants in 1910: 1.677; 1.659 (98,9%) Hungarian, 18 (1,1%) German by mother tongue, 934 (55,7%) Calvinist, 650 (38,8%) Roman Catholic, 48  (2,9%) Lutheran and 45 (2,7%) other by religion.

Some informations about the CoA: The two green hills relate to the Bakony Mountains, the silver wavy stripe relates to the Cuhai-Bakony-ér (brook), the silver griffin relates to the Esterházy Family - which was the landlord of the village, the gold cross relates to the Roman Catholic inhabitants, the gold chalice relates to the Calvinist inhabitants of the village.
