Ta'c is a village in Fejer County in Hungary near to City of Székesfehérvár (14 km south) in
the Hungarian Plains. The village has got 1.514 inhabitants (1990
census) all of them are Hungarians. Neighbouring settlements are:
Szabadbattya'n, Polga'rdi, Csosz, Aba villages and
Székesfehérvár city. In the territory of the village was a
great Roman city: Gorsium, later Herculea. "The Romans had
occupied the eastren part of Pannonia between A.D. 46-49. Here at
Gorsium, at the crossing of roads they have established a
military camp at the time of the emperor Claudius" Ta'c is
the second Hungarian settlement in this territory. The first
village have devastated in the time of the Turkish wars. Ta'c
have been settled in the middle of the 17th century. In 1910 T?c
was a village in the Székesfehérvár district of Fejer County.
Number of inhabitants in 1910: 1.945; 1.936 (99,5%) Hungarian and
9 others by mother tongue, 1.085 (55,8%) Calvinist, 816 (42,0%)
Roman Catholic, 32 (1,6%) Jew and 12 (0,9%) other by religion.
The flag, the CoA and the seal were adopted in 1994. Colours of
the flag: gold and blue. Ratio of the flag: 2:3
