"Entered the main gate of the town-hall the starway can be
seen with coloured windows made of lead glass. In it there is the
crest of Baja. The escutcheon is oval, the green apple tree rises
from the blue field. A snail climbs up the tree-trunk. Under the
tree Adam and Eve stand wearing fig-leaves, Eve is giving an
apple to Adam. It has been the crest of Baja since Dec. 24, 1696.
