Overview

The community of Malinska-Dubašnica (Dubas<nica) is in NW part of  the Krk Island, with just barely above 2000 inhabitants (i.e. in winter, during the summer just like many other coastal communities the number of people spending holydays there rises the number even ten times or more). The coat of arms of Malinska - Dubašnica is Azure an oak tree eradicated or.
The oak tree is canting for the second part of the community name that is developed from the ancient slavic word for the oak groove (dub). Until 1997 the community was named only Malinska (and I am not quite sure about the story behind why the addition was added.) The flag is light blue with the coat of arms in the middle.
