Admiral (and jack)

Admiral's ensignby Zeljko Heimer

Shown in National Geographic (1917) [gmc17] , Kannik (1956) [kan56] and Royal Navy Handbook of Signalling (1913) [rhs13] (only as Admiral's flag).

This flag is still used as jack. The current Admiral's flag has four six-pointed stars, one in each quarter.


Vice Admiral

Vice admiral's ensignby Zeljko Heimer

Blue square flag with a white cross and a white five-pointed star in canton, with one point pointing towards top hoist corner.

Shown in National Geographic (1917) [gmc17] , Kannik (1956) [kan56], and Album des Pavillons, edition 1995 [pie95]. Royal Navy Handbook of Signalling (1913) [rhs13] says that a Vice Admiral had the same ensign as the Ministers.

The flag is obsolete. The current Vice Admiral's flag has two six-pointed stars, in the first and third quarters.


Rear Admiral

As Vice Admrial, but with second star in the third quarter pointed to lower hoist corner.

Shown in National Geographic (1917) [gmc17], Kannik (1956) [kan56] and and Album des Pavillons, edition 1995 [pie95].. Royal Navy Handbook of Signalling (1913) [rhs13] says that a Vice Admiral had the same ensign as the Prime Minister.

The ensign is obsolete. The current Rear Admiral's flag has one six-pointed star in the first quarter.
