Flag of the General Council

The flag of the General Couuncil of Ille-et-Vilaine is made of the logo of the General Council placed on a white field.

The logo represents an outline of the map of Brittany in black (without the tip of Finistère!). The red disc shows the geographical location of the departement. CONSEIL GENERAL D'ILLE ET VILAINE is written below the logo.

Interestingly, the official name of the departement requires hyphens (Ille-et-Vilaine), which are omitted on the flag.
