Flag exhibitions in United States

The National Flag Foundation maintains and is headquartered at "Flag Plaza" in Pittsburgh, PA in the United States. This facility is dedicated to the history of United States flags. There are a number of special exhibits, such as a U.S. flag in which each of the stars was cut out by the governor of the respective state of the Union.

Each day they have a flag raising ceremony conducted by Boy Scouts. There are also some other patriotic exhibits and a special film presentation entitled "You Are the Flag."

In San Antonio, Texas, The University of Texas Institute of Texan Cultures has displays of various ethnic flags of the various groups which settled in Texas. Outside the Institute building is a display of approximately 30 flags representing each of the ethnic groups. Inside the museum is a special display of reproductions of historic Texas flags made by a class of high school students under the supervision of Lawrence Williams. Mr. Williams has probably done more research on historic Texas flags than anyone else.
