In the vein of flags in literature I present the list with two flags from the recent movie Starship Troopers, with apologies to Robert Heinlein (did the producers/writers read the book). The first is the flag of the Mobile Infantry and appears in the first 2 minutes of the film and it is obvious what it stands for. The second is the Federal Service, since the flag is not identified but appears twice, first at the Federal Service recruiting station and secondly draped over the coffin of "Diz", who, IMHO, shouldn't have been killed off.
The eagle looks juvenile, but if you view the movie, you will see that is
what it looks like. If you do an INFOSEEK search on "starship troopers" and
go to the "Unofficial Starship Troopers Web Site" you will see the Federal Service
flag labeled as the Mobile Infantry, but again, seeing the film will correct
this error for you.
