Having viewed the recently updated "Flags in movies" page I am sending separately a flag seen briefly in the movie The Postman based on a novel by David Brin. This flag was also used on the cover of the re-released paperback edition of the book released after the movie was advertised. The flag represents the "Restored United States of America" and the beginning of the return of order in Oregon in a post World War III/germ warfare holocaust scenario.

I would recommend the book and warn that the movie bears only a slight resemblance to the book. As with most books converted to movie format, the book is better. This is especially true in this case.
