Spanish magazine ¡Hola! (no.2767, 21 August 1997, page 79) shows the King of Spain at the award ceremony of the Copa del Rey regatta, held in Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands). On the main table, serving as table cloth for the exhibited trophies, a dark blue embroidery work cornered by red anchors and showing a depiction of a yatch pennant: a 20:35 medium blue triangle with a dark red cross of width 3 [units] overall (offset from the hoist by 9 units), white canton charged with a Spanish royal crown 4 units wide. My guess is that this is the pennant of the Real Club Náutico.
António Martins, 14 July 1999
This is the burgee of Real Club Nautico de Palma (Balearic Islands). The canton is yellow not white. The burgee represents the register flag of Mallorca with a cross of St. George on it and the royal crown in the canton. The club was the result of the merging in 1948 of the Real Club de Regatas de Palma with the Club España, both of which had been founded in the late 19th century.
José Carlos Alegría, 17 August, 2 October and 27 December 1999
