Pennant of a Flotilla Commander

Stander eines Flotillenchefs / Stander eines Brigadenchefs

[Flotilla Commander (East Germany)]
by Jaume Ollé, reduced to FOTW standard by Jorge Candeias

Meyers Neues Lexikon, Leipzig, 1974 contains the following rank flags of the DDR: Stander der Volksmarine: Brigadenchef, Abteilungchef, Gruppenchef.

Victor Lomantsov, 9 February 2001

FOTW shows images for Abteilungchef and Gruppenchef. There is a third one for a Flotilla Commander or Flotillenchef. If I am not mistaken, a flotilla is the Navy equivalent to a brigade in the Army. Maybe the Brigadenchef flag in Meyers Neues Lexikon is the same as the Flotillenchef flag in FOTW?

Volker Moerbitz Keith, 9 February 2001

Stander of Brigadenchef in Meyers Neues Lexikon, Leipzig, 1974, is swallowtailed blue-white-blue indeed.

Victor Lomantsov, 10 February 2001

Seniority Pennant

Stander eines Reedeältesten

[Seniority Pennant (East Germany)]
by Jaume Ollé, reduced to FOTW standard by Jorge Candeias
