Description

Red-yellow-blue with the arms. The flag was shown in Erich Dieter Linder, Die Flaggen deutscher Landkreise (Flags of German counties), in Der Flaggenkurier no. 2, 1996, pp. 4-10. Arms are from Linder and Olzog 1996.

Stefan Schwoon, 11 February 2001

Adopted 19.10.1973, according to Dirk Schönberger's Administrative Divisions of the World website. From Ralf Hartemink's International Civic Arms website:

The arms were granted on October 19, 1973. The arms combine the horse from the arms of Pfarrkirchen with the panther from the arms of Eggenfelden. The wavy bend symbolises the Rott and Inn rivers.

Literature: Linder and Olzog 1996.
