Granted to General Murat. Used flag white over dark red (amaranth if I remember correctly) between 15 March 1806 to July 1808, when the French tricolor was adopted. In 1808 the crown passed to Napoleon Louis (son of Louis Bonaparte) and Murat was granted the kingdom of Naples. Napoleon Louis was under the regency of the Emperor Napoleon. After the Napoleonic era, Berg became part of Prussia within the Provinz Kleve-Berg which was merged 1824 with Provinz Niederrhein (Lower Rhine Province) to make up the Provinz Rheinland or Rheinprovinz.
