Number of inhabitants by 1.1. 2002: 560. According to a legend, Horní Domaslavice was founded by Prince Domaslav in the first half of the 13th century. The first written material preserved up until now dates back to 1305. Throughout its history, the village was a farming settlement mainly. Since the reservoir of Žermanice was built, Horní Domaslavice is now the village promoting leisure time activities. However, the village has kept on its territory a typical nature of original Silesian scattered housing. At the cadastre of Horní Domaslavice there is a fabulous lake named "Mořské oko" (Sea Eye).
