Sable a Goose passant Argent langued beaked and membered Gules.
Zeljko Heimer, 5 January 2001
The bird on the flag of Sargans is a goose (in German "Gans"). This an example of wrong canting arms as the name of the town doesn't come from the goose but from the fields named Senegaunis (in rheto-romanish "Sanagazza").
