Per fess azure a mullet (six pointed star) or, argent a cross gules

This coat of arms reminds of the two most important churches of the former juridiction (Gericht) of Belfort : S. Mauritius in Alvaneu (cross) and S. Maria (mullet). The colours of the coat of arms are coming from the coat of arms of Vaz, azure and or from the one of the League of the Ten Juridictions (Zehgerichtenbund). Colours of the Kreis: blue-white-red.
