I remember seeing this logo (again after the fact -- I was born in 1969), it was a geometric maple leaf formed from a hexagram with the lowest point replaced by a straight line (for the stem of the leaf). I recently saw an image of this (in black & white) on one of those "50 years of Canadian Television" retrospectives that have filled the CBC-TV schedule. I have assumed that the background was red; there seemed to be some text at the bottom, but the 1867 1967 is really just an educated guess.
