Description of the flag

Ath (25,000 inhabitants) is the capital city of the arrondissement of Ath.

The flag is vertically divided pink-white-yellow. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 18 December 1991.

The flag has no relationship with the municipal coat of arms. However, it may be connected with the giant's procession, held each year here since the 14th century - at least the giant shown on the municipal website is endowed with these rather odd colors.
