Description of the flag

Wezembeek-Oppem (13,500 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Halle-Vilvoorde.

The flag is: Argent, in escutcheon Sable a cross moline Argent. Proportions are 2:3.

The arms are identical to the arms of the Knights of Burbure, who acquired the village of Wezembeek in 1692 and owned the estate until the late 19th century.

The flag was adopted on 16 July 1981.
