Description of the flag

On 5 December 1984, Overijse got a new official flag.

Description: Yellow with a blue bunch without leaves of six grapes, placed 3-2-1, with a lambda-formed stalk and branch. The six grapes symbolise the composition of the municipality: a center and five hamlets. Stalk and branch remind of the forefront and the ridge of a greenhouse. Ratio 10:9.

From the municipal website, forwarded by Andrei Kobzar and translated from Dutch by Jarig Bakker, 7 February 2001.
